Albuquerque Police Department officers are searching for two people they believe are connected to the death of six dogs. The dogs were found Wednesday in an abandoned vehicle near Lomas Boulevard and San Pedro Drive. Officers said a woman hired two strangers through Craigslist to help her transport her dozens of dogs to Texas, because she was moving there.
Two people have been shot Wednesday evening in Belen. Around 6:30 p.m., the Belen Police Department was called to a shooting on East River Road. to Police Chief Scott Conner, two men were riding ATVs when someone driving by in a car began shooting at them.

Albuquerque Police say they have taken Evan Ritchey into custody following alleged child abuse. In a criminal complaint, police say they were dispatched to UNM Hospital after an infant was taken in with multiple injuries. Police say doctors discovered rib fractures, a brain hemorrhage, and multiple bruises on the infant's body.
